Team Zealous Coverage

College Week was held last December 14-18. Supposedly the end of this event is on Dec.17 but because of suspension of classes and changes of schedules it became until Dec. 18 (Saturday). It was organized and prepared by the CASTI Organization. But some organization inside the campus helped to this event to become successful. Ystillo, Bagong Sibol, Aperture Media, Etc.

For the introduction, they conduct parade of the Cos players. And many students participated in the parade.College week has held of many competitions. One of this is the Cos play Competition in the first day of the event. Contestants chose their most wanted Anime Characters. And do different actions of their chosen characters. First day of the college week has also competitions for the HRM Students, like baking and flaring.

And the events was organized by the org called CASTI with the help of other orgs of the school like Bagong Sibol Dance Crew , Ystillo , Aperture Media and many more.

On the 2nd day of the event is the gift giving program for the kids. Students gave happiness for the Children. It is a way of giving and sharing love because it is a Christmas season, And on the last day of the event is the Christmas Concert for the students and faculty members of STI ORCA. A lot of organizations participated on the event. They performed on the stage like never before just for the audiences to enjoy the last day of the school before Christmas vacation.

14th of December is the start of college week in STI-ORCA, Acoustic night is one of the first events together with the cosplay competition, life coaching seminars, etc.; Acoustic night is one of the high-lights of college week and it was headed by one of the organization in STI-ORCA the MUSIKA ORCA; musika orca is merge organization of MELOMORPHOSIS and some musicians in STI. The organization advisers are Ms. Sweet Abigail Balutan and Mr. Reggie Ananca.

It was cut short due to the heavy rain and class suspensions, but the rain didn’t stop the students in joining those events.

This picture below was taken at the "Classique" booth, which featured a wide array of make-up ranging from lipsticks to concealers. There were also bags for sale as seen in the image. The booth was popular to girls who wanted to look prettier and guys who wanted something to give their significant other.

This picture was taken at the karaoke booth, which was immensely popular to groups of friends who wanted to hang-out with their buddies and those who just wanted to sing their hearts out. It functioned as a normal karaoke machine would, as students payed five pesos for each song they would sing.

The first ever Cosplay Competition event in STI  College Ortigas-Cainta.

The most awaited Cosplay Competition and perhaps one of the most anticipated event in STI Ortigas-Cainta College Week. Most of the contestants are Otaku, meaning to say, they are too awed watching anime series, reading manga and adapting it through imitating their favorite characters by wearing the costume and acting out the behavior of a particular anime character. Most of them have had experienced joining such amazing event in different places at different events.

It's quite spectacular in the awarding ceremony because they are really serious yet having fun in the process of bringing happiness to other people. The awarding was postponed many times but because of this wonderful children admiring the costumes of the students, they just dropped all the worries, the rivalry building up in the heat of the moment and just enjoy the event.

Right after the awarding, all the Cosplayers had a class picture to be reminded that they are the lucky ones who were able to join the very first Cosplay Competition in a wonderful school like STI OrCa.

And they weren't let the moment pass by, they took pictures in the Hot Air Balloon of Smart Network. Together they smile in front of many students and visitors of the school that day. So much fun and love shared by the contestant, without the feeling of pressure because of competition. The event made them to become friends.

All of them are so nice and cute. Undeniably, most of them are actually very smart. To be honest, when I saw these students I just thought, aahhh... okay, just another Otaku (Super fun of Anime & Manga etc) wanting to show off, but when you have a conversation with them, you will just take a moment and realize everything then shut up and think that, what the?!, they are actually good, brain and beauty to be more simple.

And finally, had their last picture in the Gift Box displayed in the front of STI OrCa Campus. It's so nice seeing something different from the usual things we traditional believe that is right and should stay as it is, but some of us don't realize that even though this culture emerged upon us, it also brings something beneficial in developing their creative minds and a decent inspiration to pursue.

"Dressing up as a character you admired either from movie or anime is both a privilege and a blessing, privilege because you got all the absolute necessity you need and the people who support and cheer you up and a blessing because God gave us a sumptuous life despite of the circumstances. But what makes Cosplay a greater hobby and experience is that in the process of pursuing your desire, you bring happiness and excitement to other people and more than anything you anticipated, you already won even without a recognition. Our lives is just a series of moment adds up, we never know when or where it ends, so seize the chance, be yourself and show the world what you're made of, without harming anyone else, conquer your dreams and become the person that will make a remarkable change for a better tomorrow."

The final day of the College week, Mr. & Ms. Campus Frontline Icons 2015 was one of the big events, Cultural show were in the students dance using the different cultures of nations around the world, and finally the much awaited ChristMasaya concert and the different organizations. They performed on the stage like never before just for the audiences to enjoy the last day of the school before Christmas vacation.

And finally,

One of the member of Team Zealous was able to have a photo with the Host. The CASTI organization handled all the work force and the other organization perform dance number, singing Christmas related songs, to acting and other fantastic performances.

Ended with a song "Christmas in our Hearts" by Musika OrCa, the College Week 2015 will always be remembered by the students and teachers of STI College Ortigas-Cainta. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Welcome 2016!!!!!!
